CHELSEY

I grew up in Southern California competing in all types of sports with an emphasis on indoor & beach volleyball. I continued to play competitive volleyball throughout college at UC Santa Barbara, receiving All American Honors and Gaucho of the Year. While at UCSB I majored in Global and International studies and an emphasis on Sports Psychology, my coach pushed me to try yoga & pilates. At first, I argued and thought it would be too slow. However, after finally trying it, I realized just how beneficial it was and still continues to be in my life on and off the court. Physically, it helped my volleyball game by preventing injury, while increasing mobility and body awareness… but the real benefit was the psychological aspect of yoga. Mentally, it helped with the stress of college sports, athletics and life in general. In addition, I try to incorporate breath work and mediation in my daily practice.
I love to work with people of all ages and my favorite part of teaching is the ability to connect and help others on and off their mat. In 2013, I completed a 200 Hour Certification through Core Power Yoga and Sculpt, bootcamp training, spin, Lagree and mat pilates certifications. I've worked with sports teams such as Women's and Men’s National Volleyball team, Chargers Football, Angels MLB, Cal State Fullerton Athletics, UC Irvine Athletics, Concordia Athletics, Long Beach State and professional athletes of all types. I also teaches online corporate fitness and wellness classes with major companies globally.
