Meet your instructors

I grew up in Southern California competing in all types of sports with an emphasis on indoor & beach volleyball. I continued to play competitive volleyball throughout college at UC Santa Barbara, receiving All American Honors and Gaucho of the Year. While at UCSB I majored in Global and International studies and an emphasis on Sports Psychology, my coach pushed me to try yoga & pilates. At first, I argued and thought it would be too slow. However, after finally trying it, I realized just how beneficial it was and still continues to be in my life on and off the court. Physically, it helped my volleyball game by preventing injury, while increasing mobility and body awareness… but the real benefit was the psychological aspect of yoga. Mentally, it helped with the stress of college sports, athletics and life in general. In addition, I try to incorporate breath work and mediation in my daily practice.

I love to work with people of all ages and my favorite part of teaching is the ability to connect and help others on and off their mat. In 2013, I completed a 200 Hour Certification through Core Power Yoga and Sculpt, bootcamp training, spin, Lagree and mat pilates certifications. I've worked with sports teams such as Women's and Men’s National Volleyball team, Chargers Football, Angels MLB, Cal State Fullerton Athletics, UC Irvine Athletics, Concordia Athletics, Long Beach State and professional athletes of all types. I also teaches online corporate fitness and wellness classes with major companies globally.

Leah moved to the north shore in early 2023 after spending a few years teaching lagree, SoulCycle and personal training in Santa Monica, CA. Prior to that she was a collegiate cheerleader, has a worlds title and grew up in competitive gymnastics so she is not shy of hard work! In her class you can expect a butt kicking, let’s just get that out of the way. She will give individual corrections to push you to your next level every class while encouraging you to not only engage your entire body but to connect your mind as well. Her knowledge and creativity supports everyone throughout class with challenging sequences while also offering modifications so you will still feel right at home from class number one. To Leah, the community she has found at The Den means the most to her and you will likely leave her class knowing the names of everyone you just worked out with!

Leah teaches Monday and Wednesday evenings at 5:30 pm and Saturday morning at 9am and 10am. She also offers privates and will be adding classes soon! Be on the lookout and jump into class!
